The Quarter in Review – 2nd Quarter

RVF Staff
The second quarter of the year always seems to fly by as warm weather arrives, school years end and summer activities start. The RVF body gathered to celebrate, learn, and minister in a number of ways. Its been a full and blessed season for the body of Christ in West Medford!
As a congregation we’ve been studying the book of Matthew, marking Ascension Sunday and Pentecost Sunday, Christian calendar dates that help keep us in the rhythms of the gospel. Our Sunday services have also highlighted the number of young families in the body with five baby dedications! The fifth annual Neighborhood Block Party had a turnout of over 300 and saw RVF family and neighborhood friends enjoying time together. There was a chance for kids to sign up for Vacation Bible School of which many families took advantage. In further collaboration with Central High, Pastor Kenner was asked to speak at their graduation ceremony and got to bless and encourage the graduating class, many of whom have been spending time at the Annex through the school year.
In children and youth ministry, VBS was a week of fun, hard work, and time spent pouring into the kids of RVF and the community. Over 80 children of all ages came to be part of Time Lab, Pastor Rousseaux’s last ministry event before stepping down from his role as Children’s Pastor. The youth groups of RVF are gearing up for summer with upcoming camps for both Junior High and High School.
We look ahead to the next quarter with excitement at what God is doing at RVF!
